Honouring the Land: Wallace + Wallace at Migizii Agamik, University of Manitoba

At Wallace + Wallace, we believe fences can do more than define space—they can tell a story, honour tradition, and protect sacred ground.

So when we were invited to build a custom fence around Migizii Agamik (Bald Eagle Lodge) we didn’t just show up with tools. We came with deep respect for the space, the culture, and pride to be part of a dedicated space on campus for Indigenous students. 

More Than Just a Build

For our team, this wasn’t a job. It was an opportunity to contribute to something bigger. To build with purpose. To learn. To listen. To ensure that the fence didn’t just surround the  Lodge—it respected it.

We’re proud to have played a part in this special project. It stands as a reminder that even the most practical things—like fences—can become part of something sacred when built with care, community, and respect.
