Why Steel Posts Make For Better Wood Fences

Why do we use steel posts on wood fences? Let’s dive in with our residential fencing manager, Kurtis Kremski, and Colin Duchinski, our wood fencing expert at Wallace + Wallace.

The biggest reason wood fences fail is due to rotten posts. By replacing them with steel posts, you eliminate this issue, ensuring the fence lasts a lifetime. A stronger post means a stronger fence, free from problems like rot, insect damage, and weed whackers. The installation process is clean and easy — no mud to haul away and no heavy equipment on your grass.  The only thing we leave behind is a beautiful new fence.
